2007 SMBL Fall League Information

 

·        Fall Schedule will begin around Sept 15th and end around the 3rd of 4th week of October. (Weather permitting)

·        7 Inning Games, 2:45 time limit.

·        Point System, 2 Points for win, 1 for tie, 0 for loss.

·        All players can bat, free substitution on defense.

·        10 Run Mercy rule.

·        Teams can borrow players if needed.

·        Cost is $70 per game, per team. 

·        Home Team must supply baseballs.  Balls are not included in the registration fee and will not supplied by league, but they can be purchased from league if the request is made before September 1st. 

·        Teams can use Diamond D-1 or Diamond DOL-A.  Other balls must be approved before they can be used.  Make sure to get approval before buying any other type of ball.

·        Team registration fee of $630 is due by Sept 10th.  (Umpires fees for 9 games)

·        Call Matt at 1-508-932-9169 to arrange payment.

·        Fall league will be capped at 10 teams, the first 10 that turn in their team registration in full will be included on the schedule. 

·        A minimum of 4 teams must register by Sept 10th or the fall program will be cancelled.

·        Money for any non-played games due to playoff elimination will be refunded.

·        Format will be determined by number of teams:

o       4 Teams: 8 Games per team.  (6 Regular, 2 Playoff)

§         $70 will be refunded prior to season.

o       5 Teams: 8 or 9 Games per team. (8 Regular, 1 Playoff)

§         Top 2 teams at end of Regular schedule will play a one game playoff.

§         The 3 other teams will be refunded $70 after the season.

o       6 Teams: 8 Games per team. (7 Regular, 1 Post)

§         $70 will be refunded prior to season.

§         Same format as 2006.  Pool play, top two teams from each group play for championship. 

§         Teams #2 and #3 from each group will play a consolation game against opponent in same position in the opposite group.

o       7 Teams: 7 to 9 Games per team.  (6 Regular, 1-3 Playoff)

§         One game elimination tourney after the 6 regular season games.

o       8 Teams: 9 Games per team. (7 Regular, 2 Post)

o       9 Teams: 8 Games per team. (8 Regular, 0 Post)

o       10 Teams: 9 Games per team. (9 Regular, 0 Post)
